    • This book was so engaging the writing style flowed so well, and it got me hooked right away. I had no trouble following the book even though this was the second in the series and I'm sure it left off soon after the first book. The 'recap' was well written- it gave you enough information to get to know the characters and it wasn't overwhelming with repeat information that would bother someone who had read the first one. I loved the feel of this novel was an adventure but it was not an up and down [...]

    • The right mix.I am loving this series, and found book 2 in the Hearts Out of Water series full of drama, discovery, and love. The love of friends, family, community, and that special someone. The setting for this book, being beautiful coastal Ireland, draws you in, and Annie Cosby writes so well that you can not only visualize the scenes, but feel the cool breeze, and icy rains. You will love this!

    • Thank you to author Annie Cosby for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!Find this review and more on my blog The Rest Is Still Unwritten!Learning to Live is the second novel in Annie Cosby’s Hearts Out of Water series and is another well told and highly enjoyable romantic tale set for the most part in the beautiful land of Ireland and filled with wonderful adventure, sweet moments and unexpected discovery.Learning to Live takes place almost a year after the f [...]

    • I received a copy of this book through NetGalley. Originally posted here: heatherreviews.wordpress/____________________________________________________________________________________________Perhaps it’s because I haven’t read the first in this series, but I was a little disappointed with this story. I was confused with the plot in the beginning, this book obviously picks up right where the first one left off – it makes it a little difficult to jump in at this point, but I did eventually g [...]

    • I just loves this book. One day Rory's younger brother Aidan shows up on Cora's doorstep leading her on a journey to Ireland. Once there she has to confront the boy she loved last summer, her best friend Rosie's drama, some problems with her parents and how to tell Rory he is a selkie and his brother is looking for their birth father. Through her journey to help Aidan, Cora finds herself and maybe the love of her life.I just love this book so much. it is a fun read but also makes you think of som [...]

    • I received a copy from Netgalley. Not for me. DNFing at 30%. I absolutely loved the first book in this series, but the second one isn't doing anything for me. Its not like its badly written or edited or anything like that. I'm just not into it at all. I'm not connecting to the characters, and not really liking them much. After how much I loved Cora in the first book, in this installment I'm finding her annoying. And very self absorbed, especially how she's whining because she's upset Rory didn't w [...]

    • 3.5 StarsAnother quick enjoyable read. This book takes place a year after the first and we are seeing our characters in very different places.I really enjoyed reading about Ireland. I didn't realise the number of small cultural differences there would be for an American in Ireland. The simple mention of prawn cocktail pringles and COra's confusion about them made me happy. The cultural thing isn't what people read this for, it's all about the selkie mystery and the relationship between Cora and [...]

    • I love this series, I don't like giving away spoilers, so I will try and describe what I can. Apart from feeling like I wanted to bang a few heads together with the characters in book 2, I must have felt nearly every emotion going, whilst reading the story, in fact I was blubbering like mad at one point. This book is defiantly a page turner, you know when you are still reading at 2am and you know you should turn the light out but can't. Annie Cosby is a fantastic Author who manages to catch your [...]

    • Learning to Live, by Annie Cosby, is the second book in the Hearts Out of Water series. You should read the prior book(s) in the series before this to allow you to catch up on what has progressed so far in this amazing series. This book continues to follow Cora & Rory's relationship with the addition of several other characters, Roz - Cora's best friend and Adian - Rory's younger brother. Annie Cosby continues into the mythical creatures and adventure/drama that correlates with it.After read [...]

    • I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. My rating for the second book in the stores is 3.5. The second book was a lot slower and at times dragged. Otherwise, the building of Cora and Rory's relationship was done well. I enjoyed the introduction of the supporting characters that were only briefly mentioned in the first book. Also, similar to the first book, there were almost too many hints given about the ending. I was able to figure it out fairly quickly. While this i [...]

    • After reading book one, I couldn't wait to get into this one! I liked that you got to "see" Ireland with the book's beautiful descriptions and made you feel like you were along for the adventure. I also liked how the author captured the brotherly bond, and also the lovely family gathering (Rory with the baby was heart-burstingly sweet!) The pacing of the book was a little slow for me this time around - I'm not sure if it was in hopes that Rory and Cora would reunite sooner, or just that her inne [...]

    • I so hope you all enjoy reading the next installment of Cora and Rory's adventure! I know I sure had a blast writing it! Peace, love, and happy reading!
