    • 4 stars to Barbara Venkataraman's novel Engaged in Danger: A Jamie Quinn Mystery, her fourth in the "Jamie Quinn Mysteries" series. Each successive book in this series grows stronger and builds a fun and intimate group of friends and colleagues who help Jamie tackle complex cases. It's light-hearted, amusing and dare I say engaging! (seriously wasn't intending a pun there)StoryJamie, a family law attorney, receives a visit from Nan Glasser, long-suffering wife of an adulterer, shady business man [...]

    • This guy is called Northern Hairy-Nosed Wombat and not surprisingly he lives in the only country of the world where the following picture is practically everyday occurrence:Jamie Quinn is the main heroine of the book. In the beginning her boyfriend went on a business trip to the other end of the world helping preserve this endangered species. Jamie was trying to bury herself in the routine work which leads her to investigation of an old plane crash with the said plane belonging to a mysterious a [...]

    • Family law attorney Jamie Quinn enjoyed her one “man” office – small cases were all she needed to keep her busy. Her boyfriend Kip had just told her he was moving to Australia for three months to work with an environmental scientist to save the endangered wombats – work would have to keep her occupied while he was away. But when Nan Glasser walked into her office to request her services, Jamie had no idea her near future was about to get decidedly crazy. Nan wanted Jamie’s help in divo [...]

    • The fourth book in the Jamie Quinn Mystery series. Jamie is a family law attorney who occasionally finds herself in the middle of a mystery. In this book, Jamie works a high-profile divorce case of a woman who wants to get away from her husband, a corrupt businessman. A few side stories are also going on in Jamie's life, including helping her neighbors discover who owned the plane that crashed and killed their sister and brother-in-law.A quick and fun cozy mystery. • Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. The fourth in the Jamie Quinn series is a departure from the previous three in length only. While the others could be considered novellas this is definitely much longer. A little of Jamie Quinn was enjoyable and happily more of Jamie was more so. The group of friends that surrounded her in our introduction to her are all back and you quickly feel as though you returned to a familiar place . Jamie ope [...]

    • Great bookJamie is in up to her ears. Can she help her neighbor, keep her best friend, keep her boyfriend and survive a high case divorce. Read books one through three before this one as they set the stage for the Jamie Quinn story.

    • Did I really lose my guy to a Hairy-Nosed Wombat a Northern Hairy-Nosed wombat? That’s the question that plagues attorney Jamie Quinn while she lays awake and stares at the ceiling every night. But it’s not too long after her boyfriend, Kip, drops his Save the Wombat bomb and flies off to Australia, that she has more immediate issues to keep her awake—secret business machinations, a hint of Russian collusion, blackmail, and murder, for starters. In Engaged in Danger - A Jamie Quinn Mystery [...]

    • I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the fourth installment in the Jamie Quinn Mysteries. I have read the previous three and so when I was gifted this book I was happy to read and review. I have thoroughly enjoyed the series and I have to say this installment did not disappointed. Ms. Venkataraman has written a main character that I find to be very likable and can relate to both on a personal and professional level. In addition to Jamie, the series has a cas [...]

    • Another fast, fun read. This time Jamie reluctantly agrees to represent a woman in her divorce from a notorious attorney with so many loose strings no one will represent his wife. She runs into a hoard of bad doers, has her boyfriend Kip go to Australia for six months, and splits with her best friend. I won't go any further into the plot because of spoilers but can tell you it is chick lit at its best. Thanks to the author for an ARC for an honest review.

    • This book was just as good as the first three- maybe even a little better! Maybe because I'm getting to know more about the characters with each book. Well written and not a lot of typos like some other ebooks. Highly recommended.

    • I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.Whenever I review a book like this I like to mention that I am a middle aged man. Which means I am am pretty far from the target demographic for this kind of novel. The simple fact that I like this book should tell you that if you are part of the target demographic you are even more likely to enjoy this book than I have.I have reviewed all of the books in this series (thus far anyhow?) and my only previous (incr [...]

    • I was given a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it. I really enjoyed the latest Jamie Quinn mystery! Jamie is a divorce lawyer who keeps finding herself engrossed in more complicated mysteries than who gets the house. In this one, Jamie and her best friend, Grace, eventually agree to represent the wife of the most powerful man in town. She wants to divorce him, but doesn't know what assets they have. Jamie's neighbors also ask her to look into who owned the plane their sister and br [...]

    • Words Between Friemds Jamie is back and so are her friends Duke and Grace. It seems that Jamie's boyfriend Kip has been sent on special assignment to Australia. He's joining a group to help save wombats. In the meantime, Jamie missing Kip terribly, she takes on a divorce case that is a total nightmare. It seems her client, Nan Glasser, wants nothing to do with her husband, as a matter of fact she wants a divorce as soon as possible. It appears her husband Marvin Glasser is involved with the Russ [...]

    • I chose to listen to this book after receiving a free copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.I have listened to several of Barbara Venkataraman’s books including the Jamie Quinn mysteries. I like her sense of humor and enjoy listening to her books. Engaged in Danger was no exception although the narrator seemed to be really concentrating to get the different voices right, so she ended up just reading the story. The voices were easy to differentiate [...]

    • I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Jamie Quinn has done it again. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Jamie Quinn Mystery series. Her father may get his visa soon, her boyfriend Kip is wonderful and business is growing. What could possibly go wrong? • Dollycas’s ThoughtsI reviewed the first 3 books in this series back in July. Engaged in Danger picks up where we left off and packs another huge punch. The other three were basically novellas that could be read together for 3 mysteries in the length of a regular novel. While we did get to know the characters, this one comes in at 242 pages and gives the author more time to let the plot develop and for us readers to become more wrapped up in the drama.Nan Glasser wants a divorce and every law o [...]
