    • I’ve read and loved a number of Kendra Fortmeyer’s short stories, many of them of the flash fiction variety more common to online publications, and her imagination recalls authors like Amy Bender and Kelly Link. Fortmeyer is very much her own voice, though, and her blend of magical realism and finely wrought emotion seem well-suited to the shorter short story.
